Metallica continúa lanzando remasterizaciones de su catálogo, siendo la más reciente 'Load', el álbum 5 veces platino. Producido por Bob Rock, 'Load' es la continuación de Metallica, el álbum más vendido de la era Soundscan. 'Load' contiene canciones favoritas de los fans, como “Until It Sleeps”, “Hero of the Day” y “King Nothing”, y, por primera vez, la versión extendida y original de “The Outlaw Torn”, que se editó originalmente debido a limitaciones de fabricación. Remasterizado por Reuben Cohen en Lurssen Mastering y supervisado por el productor ejecutivo Greg Fidelman.
La Edición Ampliada en 3CD incluye 41 temas del álbum recién remasterizado, material inédito, demos, mezclas preliminares y temas en vivo de su gira mundial. Los CDs están presentados en formato digipak con portada en relieve e incluyen un libreto de 36 páginas.
