De 1989 a 1996, Skid Row fue una de las bandas de glam más importantes del planeta. Gracias a éxitos que sonaron en la radio como "18 and Life", "In A Darkened Room", la aparición de "Breakin' Down" en la banda sonora de la película "The Prophecy" y, por supuesto, el incendiario tema "Youth Gone Wild", todos estos temas consolidaron su reputación como una banda a tener en cuenta.
Su debut homónimo de 1989 generó tres sencillos de éxito (Youth Gone Wild, "18 and Life" y "I Remember You") y también incluyó momentos absolutamente fulgurantes como "Piece Of Me" y "Here I Am". Cada tema es una muestra perfecta del sordidez y la arrogancia del Sunset Strip de finales de los 80.
